Everyone wants to know how to look younger. While surgical and non-surgical cosmetic treatments are some of the most effective ways to achieve a youthful appearance, sometimes we want an easier way to turn back the clock.
We’ve got you covered.
By utilizing things such as proper skincare, makeup, and hairstyles, you can learn how to look younger and feel great! Here are some tips and tricks for looking younger.
When your skin is well hydrated, even-colored, and firm looking, it immediately looks young and fresh. For this reason, taking good care of your skin is one of the most important ways to maintain a youthful appearance.
Most of the changes that make our skin look older- such as wrinkles, age spots, and loss of elasticity- come from sun damage, which occurs when ultraviolet rays from the sun create free radicals in the skin. Therefore, to keep your skin looking its best, the most important product you can use isn’t a moisturizer or a cleanser- it’s a sunblock!
We recommend that you use a physical sunblock rather than a chemical sunscreen. Physical blocks contain zinc or titanium, and they put up a physical barrier to the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays. This is an important distinction from chemical sunscreens, which absorb the sun’s harmful rays; unfortunately, free radicals form in these chemicals when this absorption occurs, and the free radicals can damage your skin. This problem doesn’t occur with physical sunblocks. In the past, the terms “sunblock” and “sunscreen” were used interchangeably. Now, the term sunblock is reserved for physical sunblock, and the term sunscreen is reserved for chemical sunscreens.
Additionally, your sunblock should have an SPF between 15 and 30, and you should wear it every day- whether it’s sunny, hot, cloudy, or cold outside.

Makeup can work wonders for anti-aging, but only if it’s applied correctly. When using a concealer, opt for a liquid based one rather than one with a wax base. It’s also a good idea to use a wet sponge to apply concealer. This will keep the coverage smooth and even.
One important trick for looking younger has to do with avoiding the “caked-on” look of heavy foundation and concealer. A thinned liquid concealer and setting powder is all that’s needed to cover blemishes or signs of aging. Just make sure your powder is light. Again, moisture is one of the defining themes of youthfulness. Try to use cream or liquid versions of your favorite cosmetics to ensure a dewy, fresh finish!
No matter what length your hair is, keeping it textured will keep it young-looking. Adding some choppy layers and texturizing mousse will do wonders for your style. If you have some fly-aways, don’t worry! Same goes for errant curls or long bangs. In fact, a choppy bob with side-swept bangs is a great way to soften the lines of your face while drawing attention to your eyes.
As with your face, moisture is essential. Dry, brittle hair is a sure sign of aging. Pay attention to your hair, as it’s one of the first things people notice. Invest in regular salon visits, or put the necessary time into taking care of it at home. Even deep conditioning once a week while you sleep will keep it silky and smooth.
It can be really hard to keep up in our fast-paced world, but it is possible to maintain a youthful appearance. Take care of your skin and hair, wear the right kind of makeup, and make sure to get a good night’s sleep!
After all, the area from the neck up is what people see and notice the most. With these tips and a winning smile, you can’t go wrong!
