Getting an Eyelift Treatment – What to Expect

November 30, 2017 7:55 pm Leave your thoughts

Do you look in the mirror and feel that your outer appearance doesn’t match how you feel on the inside? Eyelids that are hooded, drooping, or puffy can be a result of genetics or age and tend to make us look tired, sad, or worried.

Upper eyelid surgery (also known as upper blepharoplasty or eyelift surgery) can correct these problems and restore the beautiful contours you had when you were younger, contributing to an all-around refreshed look for your entire face.

Eyelid surgery is performed with twilight sleep sedation. Drs. Cohen and Swartz will work to customize what the treatment plan that works best for your needs.

If you have traditional eyelid surgery, the stitches are generally removed in five to seven days.  However, if the surgery is performed with a CO2 laser, the skin initially heals a bit slower and the stitches are removed in 10-14 days.

Upper and Lower Lid Eye Surgery

I did research before deciding to come to Dr. Cohen. I had read reviews that stated the results of his surgery will look very natural. Now that I’ve had my upper and lower eyes done, I can attest to the fact that they look so much better, but I don’t look like I had plastic surgery. An acquaintance from work saw me after my surgery and said, “You look different. Did you highlight your hair?” I said, “No, it has been highlighted for years.” I’m not telling. I’m just enjoying my new appearance of looking younger and less tired. My eyes also feel less strained at the end of the day. Thank you, Dr. Cohen!
