Procedure: Upper and lower laser blepharoplasty to treat under-eye bags and droopy eyelids
Amy's life as wife and mother is never dull. On most days, she is at a sporting event for one of her three teenage sons. When she's not cheering on her boys, she likes to work out, travel, cook and read.
Amy has always been healthy and active, but before seeing Dr. Cohen, her outer appearance didn't match how she felt. No matter how much she slept, she always had bags under her eyes– a trait that she inherited from her grandmother. Amy felt that this made her look older than she actually was, so after thinking about it for a while, she decided to make a change.
When Amy began researching potential surgeons to perform eyelid surgery, she turned to a doctor friend of hers. Her friend immediately recommended Dr. Cohen.
With such a strong recommendation from her friend, Amy booked a consultation. She says the process was easy and straightforward. "Dr. Cohen was very open with what I needed done, and I liked that he was conservative. He didn't push for any extras." With Dr. Cohen's guidance, Amy decided to have an upper eyelid and lower eyelid surgery (also known as eye bag surgery or under eye surgery).
Amy says the actual surgery and recovery process was just as easy. She arrived at the surgery center in the morning and was home by early afternoon. During recovery she experienced minimal pain after Dr. Cohen stressed the importance of icing her eyes and staying off her feet for the first few days.
Amy is ecstatic with the final results. "I feel so much happier with myself since I got my eyes done. It’s such a pleasure to look in the mirror and not see baggy eyes looking back at me."
